My recruiter noticed I'm done with debrief and 1 hiring committee. There is still 1 more final review to go through and I was asked for references. Is this standard? Targeting SWE E5
It's pretty standard as it helps to sway things in your favor if there's any contention. Google does this as well AFAIK.
They do
What happens if there are no internal connections ?
How was your onsite? Any red flags?
no. Probably didn't do too well on SD due to bad luck though
Hmm..interviewed for E5+?
When did you have your onsite?
Do the references have to be internal Meta?
yes
Is this for a manager or director role? Or plain old engineering?
How long you waited for debrief after onsite?
more than a week
Thanks - got onsite last week and I am sill waiting
Did you background check yet op?
Did it go through?
What does that mean asking about internal references? Anyone please share insights .
