NVDA is going to burst at some point. And it'll be nearly impossible to determine in advance. The flip side is that it's foolish to not ride this wave as long as possible. There's also growing fears about a recession. Mostly it seems those fears come from a knee jerk reaction to things being too good recently. Your goal should be to try to survive any downturn without loss of value. You don't want to ride the wave back down into the ground and end up a losing bag holder. Luckily there are a few no-risk options that pay out 5% ROR right now. Like CDs or even money market accounts. The question is, when do you pull out of the market and transfer into them. You could also go for real estate, with the assumption that rates will drop over the next few years and you can refinance. The dropping rates will increase the value of the properties too
Nvda I trust the company :p ride it and have fun
Well as an employee I am already heavily invested in there ( assuming I keep the job). Do not want to keep all vested stocks in there as it feels too risky to keep everything in one stock
After seeing the latest developments from Nvidia, I'd sell Nvidia and buy Nvidia calls
I would consider cash flowing real estate. Most likely in the Midwest where properties are much cheaper and rents are relatively high. For reference, my last deal in Detroit was 55k plus 30k in rehab and rents for $1200/month. At this rent to price ratio, I’m getting solid monthly cash flow. Plus, Detroit has had the best appreciation in the country in 2023 (just google “Detroit appreciation”. Of course, 1 property at this price won’t change your life but imagine stacking about 10 of these. To do that, you need a solid team on the ground, since most of us live in Seattle or the Bay. The team I work with helps out of state investors by sourcing off market deals, property managing rehab and providing property management. Happy to share more if anyone is interested.
Interested. Can you share the property management team details?
Happy to share more but don’t want troll attention here. We all know how Blind can get. Let’s move the conversation to dm.
What's your NW? How much percentage in Nvidia?
Practically 35 percent will be in Nvidia now. And yeah around 15 percent in other stocks. Remaining in home equity and VTSAX
SMH , qqq, spy and vTI
Why not soxx - more diversified
SMH is better than SOXX
