Mgmt wants tech level talent for their data infra but they don't want to pay tech level salaries. And in a lot of orgs data isn't taken seriously at all, and takes a back seat to manufacturing. Feel free to DM me for further details, but a lot of people I know on the data side have left to places that comp more.
