PM is irrelevant role and will die in next 2-3 years.
There a Amazon distribution center planned for where I am which I expect to open on half a year or less. I have no interest in working there but do they lower shipping times and have other access to services like Prime Now and Grocery if you live near one? 🤔
They typically open these in warehouse districts. Large unincorporated areas where they can build large complexes outside of local zoning rules. Weird that it’s so close to you. And no, distribution centers don’t provide retail activities. It’s like trying to buy a Nest from a Google datacenter.
In America, we love to build on disused shopping malls. Close to urban centers, tons of flat land. Our upcoming Cleveland-Euclid FC comes to mind.
I was a Buckeye (college) so I’m very familiar with the area. A lot of the shopping mall reuse in the area is economic desperation (curing blight) and should not be considered a model for city planning.
It's by the highways and half as mile from one of the largest malls in New England. Supposedly 250 jobs.
Let shipping times? Probably. Prime Now and Grocery? It depends on many other factors.
