Impending Microsoft Layoffs?

Why has the odds of a microsoft layoff spiked? Google literally just had a layoff yesterday, so that one is explained. Space Karen’s pay package got denied, and he dropped a very explicit hint that it means there’ll be layoffs. Why have the odds of a microsoft layoff just spiked within the past 12-24 hours? TC 370k

Stock market is influenced by insider trading, other betting platforms would naturally be influenced by insider knowledge and reflect probabilities fairly accurately as well

Wrong prediction. Microsoft never had big layoffs except the week before quarterly earnings. So the next medium/large layoff will be in April. And there has been no quarter in the last 2-3 years when there was no layoff in the week before quarterly results.

“there has been no quarter in the last 2-3 years when there was no layoff in the week before quarterly results” Wtf, are you serious? That sounds awful

Microsoft's large-scale 2009 layoffs were not associated with the quarterly earnings call. Also, Microsoft continuously manages people out although not to the same extent as under Balmer.
