In Washington state, when you do Driver's license at the license office, do they ask for i797 form (H1b visa)? Thanks!

At Federal Way DoL, they wouldn’t accept I797. They wanted to see an EAD instead. Luckily I had my STEM OPT EAD in hand which they accepted as proof of work authorization( as I did not have H1B visa stamped)

Gave me 6 years

We don't get real ID and get one for 6 years. In fact, you don't really require anything other than proof of residence for the general license. This sucks for traveling domestically.
