I have read about fmla and short term disability (std) options but unclear on some stuff with respect to amazon.. seeking help/advice (esp ex-Amazon if any): 1. Can fmla and std be taken one after another? 2. Does rsu vest stop due to fmla and std? My next vest is end of December. 3. Who can give fmla and std and what is needed for getting it approved? Does insurance company need to process as well? 4. Any recommendations for docs who will give fmla and std approvals in the redmond/bellevue/kirkland (or seattle) area? 5. What is your role and level. Looking at the December vest date, you should do the following. Continue to work while you are in focus and see if you can extend the focus timeline by few weeks. Talk to a doctor now saying that you are stressed out at work and need a break When you are served with pip documents, go ahead and submit your FMLA. You will have 3 weeks to get documentation from doctor after the leave starts. By that time your vest will come through. Also, stocks continue to vest for 180 days while on FMLA Your pcp can sign the FMLA documents
I was on focus earlier this year and successfully completed. Regarding insurance you should be eligible for Cobra in case you are PIPED, which is an extension of your insurance however only paid by you.
