Indeed interview difficulty
Hi, I’m starting interview prep and I am making a target company list. I’m very interested in applying for a SWE role at Indeed. What is the difficulty for the LC rounds? Thanks YOE: 1.5 TC: 154 #indeed
mostly mediums, sometimes easy
They had two leetcode questions during on-site for me (SRE). One was live on camera, and one they left me to do alone with the camera off (timed). They were harder than my Twitter onsite. Twitter pays more and they have great WLB. Their stock just went down to normal levels, so it would be a great time to get your initial stock grant.

Same difficulty as amazon tbh but interviewers are more helpful and way nicer

Two 1 hour sessions where I had a medium for each hour. It was doable and I didn’t even finish 1 of them. Maybe I got lucky.
LC Mediums, surprisingly slightly tougher than my Roblox interview or my Amazon phone screens. But emphasis on slight - compared to my G interview, all the other interviews seemed easy. I got offered almost half of what Roblox or G offered me, but the WLB there seems incredible. Tons of paid holidays and PTO and no one does any work.

This is for the LA area so number will be lower than HCOL areas. 170 TC for L2 for 2 YOE. I asked if they could match Coinbase’s IC4 220 full remote and they said probably not. Don’t add coinbase to your list, most teams have bad WLB.
It is not a difficulty that is a problem. They do screening through Karat. 10 minutes for questions, some useless and you may not know some due to your area of work, but regardless I answered all ahead of time, fast and seem all correct. First task I coded all good from very first time. Was asked to test all 16 testcases! All passed without changes to my code. Second task, spent 10 minutes explaining how it will work. Until interviewer is happy, he will not give you to code. So, I lost 10 minutes and when there was about 10 minutes left ultimately I did not have a enough time to code BSF and run all testcases. Never stuck or had any delays during interview, never had to think some time. All was clear and I was running at high speed. Yet, I could not finish second task. And that is a no go for indeed. They give you 3 tasks, 2 to solve to pass. Should compile, pass all possible test cases, explain solution, complexity. But first you have to satisfy interviewer with your way of thinking, that may take any time.
Why? I don’t think they even pay well and a brand name downgrade from Amazon from the perspective of most recruiters. If you interested in them cause they use AWS just go to Uber or Netflix.
