What are the industry title mappings at Indeed? Recruiter is being cagey, and saying things like "L2 maps to industry senior." Seems a little weird to jump right from SWE 1 to senior in one band... L1 = SWE 1 L2 = Senior SWE? L3 = ?
L3/swe3 is staff as per my offer
I had another friend get a L3 offer. The offer letter states Senior. Maybe they're not standardized?
Shitty immoral company. Don’t join.
Got d same feedback from a friend who joined Seattle office . Heard they have freezed hiring and not doing well. Ltips value also going down
Care to elaborate? The most recent ltips seems to have done well as well
I got L3 level and title as Staff
L1=SWE1 L2=SWE2 L3=Senior SWE or tech lead It's not standalized but L2 is not senior SWE
Is it true that hiring has been freezed? And attritions?
I thought the freeze was temporary as they are making some changes to their hiring process, but someone from Indeed can confirm
L3 is senior. I had an offer from the seattle office for L3 swe.
How much was your offer?
+1
Internally swe 3 is senior but really it's fucked up won't matter internally but may make your resume look bad
The general rule here is “give yourself whatever title you want, we don’t care about titles” which can be a good and bad thing
L2 is actually split depending on where within the level you were assessed. Lower half is SWE II and upper half is senior. L3 is staff and L4 is principal.
The offer says software engineer for L2 but on another post Indeed mgr said he was told L2 is sr swe.
