Indeed vs FAANGMULA
Indeed recruiter reached out to me for staff position. I wanted to understand few things. 1. Does joining indeed reduces my chances to come back to FAANG(MULA) ? 2. How is the work culture ? 3. How much challenging the problems/systems are ? 4. What’s the average percentage of ex-FAANG engineers in indeed ? #indeed

Interviewed with them and got rejected (borderline) for senior. They always show off that we help people jet jobs. Better than amazon but egoistic people there

They said my design round was the weakest 😂 when I have built production systems used by millions of users. Algorithm had all working solutions with justification and analysis. Personally, I would never work with such egotistical people. Never loved their platform as well as its useless for finding jobs and only good for those low paying jobs like chicken factory workers.
Have you used the product? It is beyond useless
I know right. I never landed a job through indeed. Will become obsolete company as networking is becoming the new norm
The site really isn't for white-collar workers who generally rely on their network for employment. That's a small minority of workers in the world.
I would say Indeed employees are viewed favorably as recruiting source for FAANG.
They were just absolutely rude to me when I interviewed there a few years ago. I'd recommend staying away.
Culture - great. Tech stack - seems they're modernizing. Easy to come back to FAANG.
When people post FAANGMULA I think of this old commercial about Ricola cough drops.... where some guy yells out "RICOLA!!!" and it echoes Now I hear "FAANGMULA!" and it echoes

I switched to Indeed from Facebook, and the comp isn't as high but the job is better. Indeed certainly has its problems, but working for Facebook is pretty crappy (outside of comp).
If you are interested in Japan, their tokyo office has been tier 1 there for awhile.
