Whenever we have a free minute we play on our phones. What have you been reading/playing the most lately? In efforts to get away from scrolling Facebook/instagram too much I hop on reddit/blind but recently finding that too distracting as well, feeling drained with information overload. Tried to slow my context switching pace down and listen to a podcast or a YouTube educational or motivational video. Or occasionally some tech articles on medium. What about you?
Had a couple dollars credit for the app store so I bought an ad-free app for Chess
I was addicted to “Ludo King” for a bit LOL
It’s gotten to a point where I can’t hold my attention on a topic for longer than a few minutes. Can’t read a document, or listen to a tech talk. One hand automatically reaches for the phone and fingers scroll through a feed, while the other hand is doing its work at the urinal. The brain wants its hit. The worst offender is Instagram. So I’ve deleted all the apps on the phone, except for Chess, some puzzles, and Blind (on a 15 minute app limit a day). It’s a lot better now, and am able to focus better.
Before phones there were books
But in between there was Snake
Csgo death matches
