Hi I am in middle of giving interview for AWS EFS team (as a SDM) and a manger from Alexa MLops team has reached out to me asking to come to his / her team instead. Trying to reach out to someone on these two teams to get more insight into the team culture, if you work in any these teams please comment I will like to discuss more over DM I know I can always reach out to recruiters and hiring managers for more information, but their opinions will be biased , wanted some independent inputs hence posted here I have experience in full stack development and devops. Know nothing about ML but am very inquisitive on that front. Another thing at the back of my mind if I fast forward 5 - 10 years and I think about growing into director / vp engineering positions … not knowing anything about ML will be disadvantage. So from growth perspective I am more inclined towards MLops but wanted to understand culture of both sides if possible
I would go to AWS over Alexa. Better culture, better leaders, profitable, and actually delivers customer value (not just lights and weather like Alexa)
Do you have any MLOps experience? These are 2 very different domains.
Nope , updated original post
Given your full stack experience, I think Alexa might be more forgiving than AWS. Unless the EFS team is console facing.
