Edit: she was ousted Told you Instacart wasn’t IPOing this year or any time soon. The cofounder desperately tried to sell to DoorDash and Uber earlier this year, both rejected. Then he was forced out. https://www.wsj.com/articles/instacart-president-carolyn-everson-to-depart-after-about-four-months-at-food-delivery-firm-11639166609?mod=mhp
Isn’t a bunch of manga engineers joining them earlier? They are doomed?
Big mistake
Alright we are all doomed. Leaving soon
Seriously, is it really that bad?
Top exec knows things we don’t know
Does it say where she's going? Back to FB?
She said she'd be taking a break
Dead company, no future without lockdowns. Don't know why engineers join dead end companies like Instacart. it's not even a gamble, it's a guaranteed failure just looking at numbers and business model. Being successful engineer relies a lot on joining a successful company. All those manga engineers are going to come crawling back to manga at higher rsu prices for their greed and shortsightedness.
I will go back to G with more stocks
What are so many xooglers doing there. I just go to LinkedIn and search x Google current in ic and I get 17 pages of results. Btw Google is low balling the heck out of offers.
She’s off to Albertsons, I expect.
Heard she’s getting hired as L3 at Albertsons
Going up in the world. Good for her.
She was forced out. Carolyn Everson decided to depart as president of Instacart under pressure from CEO Fidji Simo, who had different expectations over how Everson should manage Instacart’s relationship with its grocery retailers, said a person with direct knowledge of the matter. Earlier on Friday, Everson announced her exit from a job she started just three months ago after leaving Facebook, now called Meta Platforms. Simo expected Everson to spend more time cultivating relationships with grocery retailers like Krogers, according to the person. Everson, however, wanted to focus on a broader mandate overseeing Instacart’s other functions, including policy and government affairs, legal, and customer care, the person said. https://www.theinformation.com/articles/instacart-presidents-exit-followed-disagreement-with-ceo-on-grocer-relationships
anyone have access to the article behind the paywall?
Told you, Krogers is the next Albertsons!!
I’m not surprised that this was the reason. It’s a non-sexy and challenging role working with grocery retailers. They are demanding. If she wanted to be hands off on this then I can see her getting forced out. The previous president was amazing at this.
She is dreaming big
