When I give a tip, I expect 100% of the tip goes to the person who served me. This doesn't seem the case for Instracart drivers. The company is stealing tips from their drivers. Shame on you Instracart! https://www.workingwa.org/instacart-eighty-cents
It doesn't matter what the contract says, it isn't fair to withhold tips
They have to be transparent about this to customers who tip, otherwise it's just misleading and poor business practices
Uber should take over this business.
This is similar to what all restaurants do. They only pay ~$2/hour because tips bring it over minimum wage. If your tips don't bring you over minimum wage then employer has to make up the difference. In reality they all just assume you'll make more and pay you the $2. Really about the same as this and very slimy.
Fuck the tipping culture. Never understood it
That article is full of misleading garbage lol
Instacart fixed this https://techcrunch.com/2019/02/06/instacart-ceo-apologizes-for-tipping-debacle/ Tips are not a part of Instacart payment anymore
Fixed: “forced” to change.

Crap. I wonder if amazon does it too. I always pay tips and the delivery guys always look at me like I need to pay them tip even though I already paid it.
Who tips package delivery guys....?
