Hello guys, Just received an offer from Intel as a JG3 process engineer. I've worked at ASML in CS department for 7 months now, straight out of college. My current hourly is 31 but I worked about 55 hours per week and it's shift work so I get paid overtime as well. Here's my offer from Intel. Salary : 69k 5000 cash awards over 3 years. YOE: 7 months Should I try to negotiate? It's a lot lower than I expected or is it where it usually starts?
69 what? $69k a year?
Yes, sir
That’s very low offer. Which location is it?
JG3? Wtf is that? New sunglass brand?
but I heard that's where people start if you are fresh out of college. I only have a bachelor's and not even a full year of experience. But still very low offer
This is very low offer and theres lot of work to be done at intel. Dont accept this lowball. Negotiate and what grade is this?
I negotiated to 80k. Waiting to hear back. I was just very shocked. I went to a top-10 engineering school... It's grade 3 process engineer position

Accept it if you are into 69 😜
XD but I am serious. Should I negotiate?
You are new to the field. Rule is to always negotiate but know your worth first. Check the prevailing wages in your area , what others are being paid. Then negotiate
