While I'm waiting for my offer from Intel, i am curious on how RSUs are vested in Intel. My experience is 25% up front then equally divided amount in every quarter (Cisco). Facebook recruiter told me they do 1/N every quarter after 3 months of employment. Does Intel do similar vesting? Much appreciated for the answers. Current TC: 210k YoE: 11 years
It's career suicide joining intel
Ok mams!!
lol...i like the way you put it.
Why are u joining intel now?? Their rsuās devalue compared to market. My frnd joined last month and lost 15% of the value since
I'm still in the process of getting the offer. RSUs should be valued at current price. Am i missing something?
Sure, lets say u r getting 100$ today, if the stock devalues by 15% in 1 year, ur stock value is 85$. Meanwhile, stock market increased by 15%, then ur effective value of stock is only 72$, lesser than what u started with. Since i am in intel, i can fairly say that stock ll devalue or stay at same rate for 2-3 years during which ur stocks ll vestā¦.i wud ask u to evaluate other opportunitiesā¦
Lot of companies are hiring, pls consider other opportunities too even if u get paid a little lesser
You my friend are totally oblivious what $$$ new hires are getting!
I know one of my frnd who joined in G8 got 150k rsu and 60k joining bonusā¦do those values inline with what you see too?
Oh all these Intel employees who are jealous of the new hires coming in with big TC and RSU š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£ššš OP, ignore their comments. Make your own judgement call. The new CEO is definitely generous and he got plans for turning Intel around. Work there for 2-3 years and if you donāt like it or if they donāt give you good RSU refreshers, then find a better job and leave.
Agree with you! Joined with the same reasonā¦the guy above saying itās suicide is an unpaid volunteer to spread rubbish and preventing others to the wealth he missed on! #sourgrapes
Correct Advice. If you donāt like refreshers or stock price or base salary or bonus then just apply somewhere else after three years and see what other companies offer at the time and switch if itās better. Donāt need Wait and let this opportunity go if itās better paying then current TC. Yes itās hard to pass interview but semi jobs are growing so after three year you can always look around and if you are able to pass interview and get offer then voila. And hey if you are worried about stock price then of course you can sell the day your intel stock vests and invest those money wherever you want and make same or more return compared to industry. By the way intel stocks these days vests quarterly for 3 years.
New hire RSUs vest quarterly over 3 years. It starts usually towars the quarter end after you join.
Got it. Thanks for the info
