Recently got an offer to join Intel, 1) What's the latest on Intel's wfh? Is it hybrid or full remote? Any plans that it will be all days in office? 2) Is Intel flexible with campus locations? I have an offer for Folsom but want to choose Santa Clara. Tc: 235k yoe 6 @intel #intel
Hybrid generally supported with managers being coached to be flexible. Hear stories is some managers pushing for more in office time but that isn't the corporate direction. Talk to manager to get a sense of their intent. Full remote is still pretty rare. Site flexibility may be available as most teams have presence in SC and FM. If a team doesn't have people in SC they may be less supportive but usually not too much of an issue. There is a shuttle between the 2 sites that makes it easy to move between them when you need to.
Yes an yes, couple of my friends with 7 yoe have negotiated fully remote, just talk to HM
In our team it's 2 day's/week office.
Location?
San Jose
Intel is flexible with WFH now
Very flexible. Depends on the manager. My manager expects everyone to be fully remote š¬ with the expectation that we are available to come to campus on a short notice with our own expense if there is a business need
Most people of my team is fully remote for past 2 years. There is no pressure to be onsite as well and managers got directions to be super flexible as well. Some employees who have lab engagements are expected to come in office btw. I have also noticed few folks comes office once a weel although there were not asked. Overall super relaxed arrangements for wfh
They are trying to be Hybrid but it all depends how understanding your manager is.
