Women, help me understand why this is inspirational
I received an offer from Intel and the recruiter has ghosted me since past week after asking some questions. I also tagged hiring manager into the email but no replies yet. What should I do? Current TC: 85k Offered TC: 130k #tech #offer #Intel
Did you get a written offer? If so, what makes you think recruiter ghosted? After you receive the offer and once the background check is done. Immigration teams gets in touch
I got a written offer and the recruiter initially told me to accept it by last Friday. I sent out an email last week with some questions that I had and no reply since then. I also emailed last Friday but no replies yet
So you didn't accept?
Intel has one of the worst recruiting teams and hiring practices I have ever encountered. They will not budge on salary negotiation. And they often have hiring freezes. Don’t join them.
True, true, partially true
False, just joined and got my grade bumped and a 30k salary increase, got my comp up to 200 from 130. Negotiate correctly and/or be a better candidate and stop externalizing the reasons for your failures.
Come on. Just a week and you think it is ghosting! You must be an impatient person. Wait and they will respond.
Idc if they ghost me for weeks after interviews. My main concern was the deadline to accept the offer
They might be busy. Did you get contacted by Fragomen for immigration clearance? Usually at Intel things move very slow.
Which location and team is the offer from?
Dm me for details
Sharing my timeline. Their process is kind of slow. Finished last round on 25th May. June 3 - Verbal confirmation from Hiring manager June 15- Confirmation from Recruiter Offer Letter on 16 June. (Tentative start date 18 th July) Got automatic reply for accepting offer. Next week - SIRVA and RELOCITY contacted. Workday account information received. Then no updates related to immigration. And followed up many times. Got to know they messed up with some internal job posting issues (they put me in cc while they were communicating about this issue). After that they recreated new job id and they put my hiring on that job id and put me on immigration hold. They closed my all benefits associated with that older job id. No access to my workday account any more. 30 June. Fragomen Contacted for FNOV analysis. And received portal details. 5 July - Case inactive for FNOV analysis in Fragomen. 6 July - New case was created for h1b transfer. 7 July - Submitted all documents. 11 July - Got email from SIRVA asking if my offer got rescinded? I guess they should have received cancel request from Intel as they closed all my benefits from older position before they'd messed up with, but I have not got any details from recruiter about it. It is just my assumption. 12 July - contacted recruiter to know what is going on with my hiring process. Recruiter replied me they need some time to review information internally. 12 July - Fragomen emailed me that they received all documents they would file my petition within 2 weeks. And mentioned that they would issue clearance once they have receipt notice from USCIS. And then I would have new start date. 18 July- Got email from SIRVA saying my benefits got cancelled. Contact recruiter. Today:- I emailed recruiter again to know what is going on. Fragomen portal says "case in progress". Now waiting on next step. Adding "onboarding@intel.com" in CC helped me to get response quicker from recruiter.
Benefit cancelled? What does it mean exactly?
Relocation benefit.
Thanks for this detailed information!
Any update OP?
Yeah, they did reach out today and started with my immigration clearance
Once a week is a good idea. If no reply forget about it.
Wait, how common is it for Intel to ghost/rescind after offer acceptance? I saw a couple of posts regarding this. This seems unethical on their part to ghost/ rescind offers.
