DV
What is DV?
Design verification..
Is this grade 10?
Grade and location? That would be a good offer even for PE/Gr10 in non-HCOL areas. Although hiring external PE level into DV is pretty rare. Congrats!
Checking on GRADE with HR again..forgot to ask .. Location : san jose
Looks like Intel has started paying decent.
What will be nvidia TC range for similar range..any idea..?
Guessing you would get IC5, with that it'll be around $350 K TC easily
What grade? Makes it hard to analyze the offer without it. That would also affect annual bonus and RSU's.
Need to check with HR on grade .. Ideally it should be what..?
Grade 9 will be amazing. Anything from and above grade 8 is good. Lot of Smart people here who started their career at intel and with similar yoe but at gr-7. Followup question can be, if smart, why dont just move to better company? They don’t move to other companies cuz either they are in LCOL with less opportunities and don’t wanna relocate with full family OR they are in comfort zone with known friends and colleagues at work
If you're Gr7 after 15yoe, there's a problem. Especially with an MS or PhD
I see the TC for first 3 years is ~280 (excluding signon). I would suggest you try ti push this to 300k. Once you are in, yearly increments and refreshers are next to nothing for the majority.
Thanks.... so you are saying dont rely on QPB/APB... As otherwise TC comes close to be ~320K..
Yes. Don’t count the bonuses for now. And assuming this was the first offer they gave, surely there is room for TC growth. If given a choice choose base increase. Else RSU increase.
This looks like a G9 offer and Intel to be honest pays good cash bonus at higher grades..so the bonus you are calculating is already conservative as it will be higher. I am assuming the HR calculated APB as 3%*your multiplier and QPB as 6%. QPB tends to be higher as last year it was around 8% for full year and APB was also 3%*multiplier. This a great offer considering NVIDIA doesn’t have cash bonus component
Agreed looks like Gr9. Getting Gr10 is exponentially more difficult (unless you're a manager) so don't bank on a promotion for the rest of your career if you take this and stay at Intel
Waiting for reply on HR about grade...hopefully it is G9..
Nice. Noticed Intel is giving decent offers since 2021.
😂 said on Jan 24, 2021. Ohh Intel 😒
What role is it?
