Intel or Yahoo Offer?
Hi All, Got offer letter from Intel and Yahoo both, same Title, same TC. I am inclined towards Intel as its a public company and probably won't be acquired so soon. Appreciate if someone could provide more colors regarding which offer to go for? (considering current economic situation, future company stability, growth, layoffs) Thanks! #intel #yahoo #layoffs

Thanks, any more details please. VMware is fantastic, unfortunately my role has changed and might become redundant post Broadcom acquisition.
I disagree, I don't think VMware is even a safe place to be right now

Intel is a sinking ship but way slower than VMware, you could be layoff from VMWare in the next few months, I would take Intel if it's the best offer you can get. Keep interviewing is always an option, but it depends on your ability to interview and LC

Honestly given that yahoo is not public, they don't have shareholders to please.

Why not see if you get a severance package and then find a job? Also, if you happen to still be around, Broadcom gives out lots of RSUs
It's harder to find a job when 20k are layoff at the same time as you, also you don't decide the timing, you could be layoff in the worse economy vs switching jobs knowing your current context, you're also in control of your career vs just waiting to see if you have a job or not in a few months
Yahoo better than intel. Yahoo there is hope but intel no hope. You will be laid off soon.

@sms075 - You don’t know what is going on with intel right now that is why you are making above sarcastic statement. Current ceo is too arrogant and making decisions which will sink ship faster. Yahoo already at bottom but stable position.
