Internal Interview Process

Should I look externally? I have been with the company for 3 years and I am currently interviewing for a role one level above mine. I will need to complete 5 rounds of interviews. I found out today that some of my peers are receiving offers for internal roles with interviewing. Should I bring this up to higher ups in the org? TC: 101k YOE: 3
