So Recruit Holdings acquired both Indeed and Glassdoor. Considering that both companies are under the same parent company, do people move from one to another? Is it part of internal mobility or you have to apply externally? Also, how different/same is the work culture in both companies?
The companies have only really started talking after the deal. Knowing Indeed it will take a decade before the two companies are ever working together lol. Transferring sounds like something a significant period down the line if at all.
There’s no visible interaction so I imagine external apply
They are separate at this point and for the next few years. Glassdoor is very startup like culture, few people take on large responsibility, and Indeed is more corporate w/ bigger teams but also more established engineering.
No transferring as far as I know
So the PMs and Engineering leads have just started talking, meeting and learning from each other. Both companies are growing well independently. The jobs and careers market opportunity is huge enough for both to thrive. I don't see any reason for them to work together unless one is struggling in the short term. The one exception is if there is a downturn, they might think of merging both.
