What are the rules? In Microsoft... 1. Based on hiring manager's thinking you might go through a full loop or a round or two just for formality. 2. Your current manager implicitly doesnt get to know that you have applied and are interviewing. 3. Above two apply for international transfer as well. Some countries might have additional constraints like below certain level you can't transfer internationally. How is it at Google?
If you are transferring within same job ladder (like SWE it is super easy). Just find someone that wants you and has headcount and get them to offer you the position.
Same as above. In addition most teams do not appreciate transfer before 1 year in your current team
Thanks for replying. Could you please comment more on international transfer? How if transferring to different team? How hard are loops? Are the loops necessarily full? What are level/designation constraints?
I heard there are no interviews again for the transfer to similar roles in Google. Isn't that true?
