For Twitch folks, do you generally see individuals transfer from Amazon? If so, are you familiar with what that process looks like?
You can reach on slack or emails to the SDM. I have ran interview loops outside of the tools to avoid alerting your current SDM. If it comes out positive, we go through the process but we already have all the data.
How is Twitch doing as a business? Are Youtube/Facebook/Tiktok eating into their live streaming revenue?
Twitch recruiting is aware of and follows Amazon “internal transfer” practices - no formal application needed until after a candidate knows they have the job, accelerated loop. Individual hiring managers may force internal transfers to do the full loop with a formal application but it isn’t a company requirement.
It's a full interview loop (phone screen + 4-5 "onsite" rounds). Also requires an official job application through the jobfinder tool.
Isn’t your manager alerted when you submit an application?
Sure is, so would definitely advise notifying the current manager ahead of time before doing so. It's a bad process, but it is the official process for Twitch (I assume some other subsidiaries have to do the same)
