Which would you recommend for an internship if you were looking to maximize learning and exit opportunities? Getting a return offer is not that important to me. Splunk - San Francisco - Engineering Effectiveness team (seems like cloud infrastructure and internal tools) - JavaScript, Python, Kubernetes Uber - No team placement or location - More prestige? #uber #splunk #swe #tech #engineering #software #intern
Splunk! Splunk employees please refer me too!
Could you give more details on why Splunk? I worry about the learning opportunities because it's known to be a rest and vest company
You pretty much get your first choice preference for Uber when they do the matching in Feb
heard splunk culture is shit
Literally no one. Literally no one has said this before joining, while, or even after leaving Splunk about the culture lol in eng atleast
Uber duh
Really depends on the team and what your goals are. Won’t matter if it’s Splunk or Uber but Splunk is a pretty stable company and usually extends a return offer easily. I would focus on what kind of learning is inline with your goals. Eng effectiveness is usually CI/CD/Infra type of work. It’s great if you’re into it.

What do you think is wrong with a kid who got rejected by 9 colleges?
Uber for pay, Splunk for the pretty office in Santana Row and because every company uses Splunk
Splunk actually has higher new grad TC than Uber lol
Even better then!
