My cousin had an interview with an Indian Wipro company manager working with client Toyota motor services Plano . This guy started insulting my cousin during the interview saying the candidate doesn’t know anything and making weird faces and showing all toxic behavior to insult my cousin. I want to make sure he doesn’t repeat this kind of toxic behavior with anyone in the future. Any suggestions how to proceed. I have his email address of wipro and Toyota and also his LinkedIn profile. He needs to be taught a lesson so that he doesn’t repeat this behavior with others, any inputs will be really helpful. #toyotaconnected #toyotamotors #toyota #wipro #plano #tech
Post here, name and shame..many desi managers are real time bastards and need to be defamed
Please show this gandoos email
What else can you expect from Indians ?
What kind of insults?
He made comments , that the candidate doesn’t know anything and it’s a fake profile. Asking if you really worked. Don’t you know even this. And making faces and exhibiting every kind of behavior which makes candidate feel bad about themselves
Did your cousin sit through the whole interview?
Idiots like this who doesn’t have minimum common sense and decency, working as managers degrade the work culture and defame the firm they are representing. Such folks need to be taught a lesson.
Send the HR an email saying you were harassed. Leave a paper trail with the email. HR will bring it to that manager and manager will pee in his pants
We did this once for one Big tech employer. Although seemingly nothing happened to the employee( still employed there ), we got a callback from the HR and managers apologizing for this behavior . We felt good. That employee must have got few lessons from management
Thank you very much I will be doing this. I am going to put a well drafted email cc’ing his managers. So that the interviewer doesn’t take anyone for granted in the future.
I had many such encounters in life personally and foor friends, when we don't have anyone to talk to these situations really take a toll on your confidence. Make sure your cousin doesn't think about this too much. Unfortunately there is nothing much we can do about these people. Even if you had proof of recording their manager would have ignored it and convinced there clients with some bs story. But I don't want to discourage you, I hope someone can suggest a better solution but if there isn't any then just write up an email to their HR and all mail addresses you have, just for mental satisfaction. If you do write a mail to their HR make sure to highlight the abuse of power without saying anything negative about them.
Thank you very much for sharing this thoughtful comments, so nice of you for taking time. I am very sorry that even you had to go through this kind of experience
You may not get response for an email. My former manager suggested me to do send a mail via USPS that needs a signature of a recipient. Unfortunately, some interviewers do this since the beginning of conversation. I just watch Kung Fu Panda movie after such interviews. Over the years, all the jobs I held were created for me after initial conversation so I built a confidence that there was nothing wrong with my skills. But, it was not easy in early stage of career to go through such kind of interviewers.
If it is true, ask your cousin to reach out to the recruiter and share feedback on manager.
Do you have proof? Otherwise i feel sorry for your cousin
We should have recorded the call…but lesson learnt.
You can’t record without a consent
