Hello all, I passed the initial recruiter phone screening and have a phone interview set up with a hiring manager, not sure how many more interviews there will be however I want to impress, the position is called "financial digital automation consultant" I have most of what the job requires but the first few questions asked in the phone screening I did not "any experience with scripting" and "any experience developing applications" :( It's a role I really want as its a big pay bump from where I am and could learn so many valuable skills. Any one from Lake Mary know what they will ask me tomorrow? I am cramming udemy stuff from SQL and hoping that all my other skills will give them confidence in hiring me. #interview #verizon #automation #projectmanager #consultant #tech #technology
why would you want to work for Verizon?
I can guarantee it's better than where I'm at. I'm looking for constructive advice, unless you have a job offer? I'm not in a place where I'll turn down a far better environment than I'm in.

Women, help me understand why this is inspirational
Verizon doesn't really do LC for most of the teams. They may ask you more practical stuff, like if the job involves SQL they will ask if you have done anything with it or built anything utilizing it. Standard behavioral questions that just probe how you answer. Can probably get by without practical experience but really have to give good answers throughout the interview.
Thank you! I have definitely used it, I'm just not developer level experience or know even single line of code. I use that along with power BI for report building nearly everyday so hopefully that's enough.
I would recommend familiarizing yourself with most of the technologies that's on the posting. If you don't have practical experience with them you have to demonstrate familiarity with how they're utilized or what they're typically used for. Best to gauge how willing they are to let someone learn on the job and you have to demonstrate that you'll be able to pick it up at the pace they want.
