What is the culture like at Intercom? and is Intercom planning any layoffs in 2024
Intercom financials are okay, there are no financial reasons for more layoffs. Ofc, I can't speak for the exec team who could do it for other reasons. Intercom is in a good trajectory: the product is much improved in a year, the biggest problem it ever had (pricing) is close to being solved, it embraced AI at the right time and for the right reasons, the incumbent (Zendesk) was bought by PE and is not the threat it used to be. Now, there are issues too: growth is positive but not high, we need to fix that. Overall, marketing and sales need improving and we need achieve double digits growth, otherwise the stock value will stagnate. Relatedly, it is a private company without any big liquidity event in sight. I joined last year and in retrospect it was a good decision, even though I rejected an offer of a public company that grew significantly since then.
In terms of culture, the leadership has put a lot of content out there (tweets, podcasts, blog posts). Just read or listen to some stuff, it is mostly accurate and not corporate fluff.
Hi, Can I DM for referral at Intercom? I saw a suitable position for my profile.
How much time does it take to get feedback after an interview? My final interview was over last week, still waiting for feedback.
Hey how was your interview and the process?
Strong yes and yes for remaining.
