I am interviewing for a contract position at Disney right now. Been in the interview process for a month now. First two calls went by within first week of recruiter contact. Blitzed through them without issue. I’ve built a nearly identical system to what they’re looking for as a founder previously and sold the company, so I’m well experienced in the space. Was told I was going to get the last step scheduled asap. Have since been asked for availability and told the hiring manager has been contacted numerous times, yet nothing. Recruiters are constantly taking days to respond, I give availability and don’t get a response for days despite me following up with them. It’s going on 3 weeks now and this last step is still not scheduled. I’ve gone back and forth with the recruiter (actually two recruiters now at this point) numerous times and I am getting fed up. I’ve been asked for availability, told stuff will be scheduled, I make sure I block out some time, then nothing gets scheduled. At this point, I find this immensely disrespectful, and I am getting pissed. Is this normal? Is this what I should expect from this company? TC: $160k
Yes it is normal for this company and is normal even in the day to day work at this place. You cope by remembering that we are more WLB focused, so you let it slide so that others will let you slide
Hello sir @Disney, I’m a new grad from top 8 CS rank uni, with 2 internships at Fortune 500 companies, and 600 LC done. I already prep interviews for 6 months with many mock interviews. Could I ask for your referrals at Disney, please? … 😭😭i will dm you the resume and position if you're ok
There's direct hire, project hire, and green badge. Green badge means you're a contractor and it is a normal thing at Disney.
I understand green badge is normal, but is this dragging of the feet that I’ve been experiencing during the interview process for it normal?
I'm afraid so. They're a huge company. If you have details for role and location I can maybe comment further. PM if you like.
Not surprised, yes this is normal. Company is disrespectful to our own employees and even more so to contractors

What's your pay rate out of curiosity?
For the role I’m interviewing for?
Yes
I’m going through the same process. Did you ever hear back? Last interview was almost 2 weeks ago and still haven’t heard back. Recruiter didn’t respond my follow-up email.
I experienced the same thing when I interviewed for Disney. I was told they wanted one more interview then the recruiter ghosted me. I got an email that they decided not to move forward so I accepted another company’s offer. Then I got an email from the recruiter that it was a mistake and that I was still in consideration.
