Interviewing from outside US

I took a break for sometime and currently in India. I am looking for new opportunities now. I was on H-1b and I also have my I-140 approved. I am planning to move back to the Bay Area now. Has anyone been able to successfully interview from outside the US and move back ? If anyone’s hiring and willing to interview me remotely or from their India office, please let me know. I interviewed for Facebook and Google. I went to Singapore for Facebook’s on-site and Bangalore for Google on-site. Both were for the Bay Area roles. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to clear both although the feedback was good. I am reaching out to people here to see if anyone can help me.

I have a question: how are u planning on coming back? Like on what visa ? Also what importance does having an approved I-140 hold

You can reactivate H-1b. With approved I-140, your H-1b will continue renewing. There’s no 6 year limit. If you want more info DM me.

Are you sure about if you have an approved i140, then you’re not in the 6 year quota limit?

Curious, how do you know you have a role for OP without knowing what OP does?

Were you able to successfully move back to the US? Just wanted to know how was the process since I'm considering taking a break too and hoping to come back to the US in around a year.

Not yet. Big companies like Google and Facebook are easier to interview from outside US. Smaller companies you have to do remote interviews.

Good to hear that companies are willing to do remote interviews. Hope you are able to move back to the US soon.

I had a friend who did that successfully. You just need to find an employer without getting in US. And get your H1 approved
