.. are there any apps better than it? What about the possibility of linking Indian bank accounts in the USA? #personalfinance #trackexpenses
You what?
Any other hardcore excel users here other than me? Those aggregator apps are not really that special or interesting to sell out all of your data. What does mint actually do for you? I’m genuinely curious. I get that laziness is a big factor. I’ve been there before.
Do you have a spreadsheet template you use?
I used a numbers template on my Mac. I modified it a bit and enter data from my iPhone. I use it for budget tracking mainly. Not net worth tracking. I don’t obsess over that.
I used to work at Yodlee, which has an app called Yodlee money. Rather they provide aggregation services via banks directly and yea you would be able to add Indian accounts to it as well. Mint used to use Yodlee apis until intuit acquired it
Try personal capital
Amazing? It seems like it’s not even being worked on
Hence the post
Personal Capital
Copilot app has the best UI.
I'm a fan of YNAB (You Need A Budget) software. Have been using it for years. No idea if it connects to Indian banks.
Not sure if you know, but these apps sell your data I.e transaction data to other companies
Mint does that?
They sell anonymous aggregated data, and also own credit karma (which might be using data directly to send you offers), it’s better to use your bank’s budgeting app https://www.rewire.org/do-budgeting-apps-know-too-much/amp/
