Intuit stock have been doing good. They also pay better than a lot of companies. They also beat earnings today. Is it worth going to Intuit for a senior+ level (SWE)? How is it in terms of career and tc growth long term? How’s the work at the company? TC : username #tech #intuit #microsoft #google #amazon #meta #apple
What’s the pay at Intuit?
I agree that it’s a hidden gem too. They compensate well for higher levels (senior+) but not as competitive for lower levels compared to FAANG, which is why we fly under the radar and considered as “lower tier” company. Getting almost 400k TC as staff so don’t care about tier or prestige or whatever. The work is good, the people are nice, they treat employees well.
YOE?
10+ YOE
Can’t speak for SWE work as I’m a designer, but I think Intuit is great. Work itself is meh, but benefits and pay are great. As others have mentioned 401k is matched at 125% upto 6% and lots of perks like $1300 a year fitness incentives. Work life balance takes a little effort on your part. They will take everything your willing to give, but if you draw a line, I find they are usually accepting of that. Promotions can be challenging but not impossible. Previously coming from the real world (outside of FAANG and tech) I feel very lucky to have found Intuit.
I think Intuit has a different reputation for designers. It's one of the first that comes to my mind for a design-led company. How is the process and culture? Do you have autonomy over what gets delivered?
Just posted into above sub thread and posting again. There are so many benefits at Intuit 1. $1300 wellness reimbursement yearly 2. $100 per month internet 3. Free phone, free upgrade every 2 years 4. All Phone expenses, even case 5. Spotlight awards, i normally get close to $2000 per year 6. Commuter benefits $150 per month. 7. Subsidized meal 8. High 401 match, 9. Home office setup, last year I claimed $1500 for furniture. Before that $1000 for monitors. 10. Remote option but yes manager has to agree. 11. $650 for child care per year 12. 4 weeks PTO, 1 leave on your birthday, 18 office holiday and unlimited sick leaves 13. On-site gym. 14. Many company discounts items I am sure I missed some —- Update. My TC is $400k MTV. I have $250k including base and bonus + getting close to $150k refresher. Stocks are down to $450 but they were and will reach again to $700 so hope to increase TC again. Subsidized food is close to 50% whenever we buy. Child care is $650 per year. Few more perks 15. Free turbo tax live which cost ~$200 per year 16. Virginpulse fitness benefit which gives $300 per year 17. Donation match by company up to $5000. 18. %15 discount on ESPP
Is that 150k refresh/4? That's still a large cliff. The benefits seem amazing though
Thank you! What’s your level and yoe? If MTV is your level, what’s MTV?
Yes refreshers are over 4 years but you get them every year on bonus time so the RSUs start stacking. Oh about PTO you can cash out PTO directly as well
That's awesome
Underrated place to work at
Lol, if you want to retire and chill out your life, welcome to Intuit
What’s wrong with that if TC is good. Right? How’s pay compared to Microsoft?
Far far better then Microsoft. Intuit pay very competitive in Bay Area and has lots of employee benefits. As someone said, it’s underrated company to work for which is actually good for us.
Kind of a boring product though
The products are “boring” but they’re critical functions like tax, accounting and small business ops used by lots of ppl. There’s enough ways to expand things to make it interesting. It ain’t TikTok or Horizon Worlds but I’m good with that, esp when they reward you well.
Intuit is way better then many of other companies. I found it as hidden gem. I came from Amazon, left due to workload and here I am doing great. Company has lots of benefits that many companies don’t even touch.
what’s ur tc
@intuit down for referrals?
