Is it Worth to consider intuit staff engineering position ? Current tc: 370k New tc: Base:210k Stock: 460k Joining bonus: 90k Yearly bonus: 20% Can any one provide insight on company’s engineering culture ? Yoe: 13
Nah apple is a better company by far. I'd only join intuit from Apple if they were offering at least 20% more. What kind of culture do you expect at a tax company lol?
👎
Unless you are in IS&T
Surprised Intuit is offering this much for Staff. But anyways Intuit has great WLB and a lot of teams are very political especially QBO, to do well you need to be outspoken and play the game and 👅 your managers ass. Infra is complete garbage and engineering talent is lackluster, but employees are treated well.
This is exaggeration and outright incorrect ! Intuit infrastructure is not garbage. Company has delivered flawless tax seasons for past many years and have solid cloud practices. Internal platforms scale decently and many are self serve to a large extent. Not every thing is perfect but calling infrastructure garbage is just hilarious. This person is just another disgruntled employee. PS: staff eng with 7+ years of tenure at Intuit.
+1 on infra is complete garbage!
For IC roles aapl is far better than Intuit. Unless they are offering 2x of your current TC, I won’t suggest you join. If they are offering manager positions then it is a different story, as if you want to switch to manager track, you need such experience.
You can push for more. I got more for the same level
And I’m loving it so far
Not much difference in pay. And if you are moving for wlb then it varies by team.
What's the predictive science team's WLB?
But why? 210 + 120(ish) still less than what you make right now plus apple refreshers are much better anyway plus aapl stock is anyway >>> intuit stock
Intuit total tc for next 4 year will be 210 +120 + 90/4 + 20% * 210
I agree not much diff in tc but want to check on engineering culture
