My partner has two options. Intuitive Surgical or Salesforce- which one to join? TC isn’t important and not in the selection criteria. Want to understand the work culture and future scope. IS is complete wfh (HQ in Atlanta) Salesforce is SF Domain - UX Exp- 15 years

Why the fk are you consider intuitive surgical unless they want to be a physician or some shit
They are really into AI and robots. Intuitive Surgical is all about robotic healthcare. The area does interest them and I want them to be happy in the longer term... in terms of work satisfaction
Intuitive has a lot going on in medical ai and surgical robotics. Good research and projects happening, definitely worth considering. Having said that, the current work life balance is really bad and middle management seem pretty clueless.

He should work in an area that interests him. CRM is nind numbingly boring.

Unless he’s really passionate about CRM software... Don’t drink the wlb koolaid about salesforce. It’s not true anymore. We’re working insane hours.
ISRG hq is in Sunnyvale. It’s a large company so I’m sure wlb varies by department but my impression was that it’s pretty good overall. I don’t really have much bad to say, the product is really cool, the people were nice, and the company is very profitable. It was a little slow paced for my taste and comp wasn’t that great.

Heard some good stuff about ISRG...comp wasn’t as edgy as FANG but quite good. Heard it’s culture is amazing. I believe if you rank by wlb+comp, there’s not too many can beat it.
