I am currently evaluating an offer from FB. To all those who are currently with Facebook - Am looking to find out if there are any restrictions on where/when can employee invest. If you come from a finance tech background - you would know all the restrictions that are placed on employee trading, disclosures etc. Are there any such restrictions ? Also is the brokerage account supposed to be maintained only at some specific brokerage house ? YOE -15+ CTC - 450
Yes, it's all pretty standard. There are trading windows and you can't trade FB stock outside of those unless you've previously set up a 105b. Brokerage acct is at Schwab but you're free to move it anywhere as they vest.
Well the standard in investment banks is everything is highly restricted and limited. Coming from that background this sounds liberating . Btw - haven't heard of a 105B ? Under what circumstances do people do that ?
He means a 10b5-1 plan that sets up stock sales to avoid insider trading.
Are you joining as EM? Which level did they offer ?
Yes evaluating

The brokerage you receive the rsu is Schwab. You can move them to another broker when they vest. The only restrictions to trade $FB are the trading windows. 4 windows per year
Thanks. Are there any other restrictions on doing outside business activities or stuff like that ?
Yes, you need to report outside business activities to HR and they may not allow you if they think there might be conflict of interest
