Biden wants to raise capital gains tax to 40%
Hello everyone, I just wanted to know whether I'm getting under paid even though I have a Master's degree, so I'm a new graduate and I'm getting paid 80k as base and 10k as bonus, so just checking if I'm getting under paid
Depends on what you do for a living?
It’s definitely very more for people with a master degree in English..you should be happy
No I did my Master's in Software Engineering
90k is good enuf to get started. Don't go by blind TCs. Here a new grad earning 200k is below poverty line!! Give your best and all the best!
Less -> Low
Oh crap
Not too lowball but not the highest either. For reference, I know a few people in the area: One had 100k base + 15k bonus (startup, new grad with Masters) Another with 125k base (not sure on how many RSUs or bonus) (Larger public company, new grad with Bachelors) Another at 85k base + 10% bonus + RSUs (not sure here on how many), (Large public company, came out of bootcamp)
To add my own, as a new and oblivious grad with Masters in SWE about 4 years ago at a NOT "tech first" startup, in Boston: 60k base, 10% bonus, no Stock Options. So you beat that, though that's a very low bar!
🥜
Less than what?
I was right where you are 2 years ago. I work 45 mins outside boston and started at 72k base no bonus. For boston downtown i'd say its okay. Not too low that you have to worry about it. 80k to 100k base is normal
Oh is it my work place is also an hour and away from Boston
Then its probably fine. New hire 80k is average. Downtown and greater metro compensations are slightly different.
Yes you are
What's the mean pay in Boston?
^You did a master’s and aren’t even talking about medians?
