Use to be a die-hard fan, and now just a fan. However, how did they miss the boat on security cameras. Seems in their wheelhouse to come up with a ring competitor with lidar. Tim Apple is slacking, as well as the company.
Yes, iphone 14 dynamic island wow who would of thought
Dynamic island is fkn lit
I haven’t really played with it, but it seems more of a gimmick.
They gave away router business, so security camera seems off. Their products still missing WiFi 6e triband 6GHz that everyone else is doing now, from Qualcomm and Lenovo to Google. Also, do you not find the $19 Cleaning Cloth innovative enough? How dare you!
They had the most stable routers. Why did they give that up?
Also they did homepod, not sure why they couldn’t do a security camera with lidar
I always think about this too…. They were incredibly innovative in the past. MacBook Pro was THE laptop for college, iTunes & iPod dominated music, iPhone dominated/dominates phone market, iMac was the best all in one, AirPods are functionally great, iPad was cool. They really changed the game and made everyone play catch up. Now it’s like - nothing new, ever. Same products recycled yearly with larger cameras or somehow thinner while removing features that we love (mag safe) and then adding crap we don’t like (Touch Bar on MacBook) - and then reversing course because they realized they fucked up (new MacBook pros have mag safe again and no more Touch Bar). It’s sad tbh. I know Steve Jobs was thought of as an asshole and more of a marketer per say, but Apple under his leadership really did flourish into a very well respected tech giant.
TouchBar was honestly the worst, I'm so glad they finally got rid of it! MagSafe being gone would at least make more sense if you could use the same charger for iPhone. Alas, it's taking them 10 years and an EU legislation to get rid of the proprietary iOS connector.
Those folks left for UniFi.
First thing you need to understand is that apple is “In” everything. They are very selective about the industries and initiatives they continue with but they dabble with everything worth a damn.
I thought they were going to launch Apple Car. Then stonks!!

Be really honest with yourself, was apple innovative at all after the iPhone or did you just get influenced by the marketing
It was innovative, in 2007, it was the first phone where touch was buttery smooth. Not to mention having a browser in your pocket was great.
