I did each question on Blind 75 4-5 times now (skipped DP, Hard, and Premium). My Amazon SDE-1 loop is scheduled next week. (3 coding rounds, no systems design or object oriented design). I get that Blind 75 helps us recognize the pattern. What else can I do with 1 week away? What are my odds of passing Amazon's 3 coding rounds? Of course, Leadership Principles & behavioral interviews are important for Amazon. I'll be prepared for drill-downs. Thank you very much for everyone sharing your thoughts! I appreciate you. 🤝 TC: 60k (support role, completed a Java bootcamp to upskill) Tags for reach #amazon #Netflix #Apple #Airbnb #Lyft #Uber #Square #Slack #Dropbox #Reddit #Spotify #Nvidia #Microsoft #Yelp #LinkedIn #Pinterest #Twitter #Salesforce #Zillow #Snapchat #Snap #engineering #software #swe
My understanding is that the Blind 75 cover some of the most important patterns in leetcode problems and while I can't say for sure, my guess would be that if you learn them well then it would be enough. I think Bruce Lee was right about fearing the man who did the same kick 10,000 times rather than the man who learned 10,000 different kicks. I think having a deep understanding of the main patterns and main concepts will translate to other problems. I've been doing an exercise where I pick one problem and everyday slowly run it through iteration by iteration and just anecdotally I think it is helping rewire my brain into "leetcode mode".
Well said Cap1. Thank you for your reminder and encouragement! Be water, my friend. If you are in DC area, I guess Amazon's recruiters ping you a lot ...
Recruiters are pinging, but not from Amazon and frankly I'm thankful for that. Couldn't pay me enough to work there.
Not enough
Tell me more please. What makes you think that Sam?
It is enough. But theres always an element of luck and you might get random questions
Thank you fellow Microsoftie. I agree. And Amazonians can ask anything and there's no strict guidelines on that....
I worked there 2018-2022. I also recently interviewed there and got a coding question that wasn’t even leetcode. It was some made up one that was very ambiguous, but I was interviewing for sde2. Either way I would just do blind75 and hope luck is on your side. The returns from doing more is severely diminished
u can test ur pattern recognition skill on problems outside the list of 75, that will get u a better feel of ur readiness
Thanks rkdnanhx. I'll do this exercise by picking some random questions to recognize the pattern
Try getting leetcode premium for a month and do all recent amazon questions. 75 is not enough.
Thanks Minamato softie. I do have premium and looked through their green and yellow frequent questions for the past 6 months. But the challenge is that there's no way to tell if those are for SDE-II or SDE-I. Many questions are harder than Blind 75. How likely do you think they would ask LRU Cache in SDE-1?
Not sure. At this point just see the solution and code it yourself. Don't ignore coz it's hard and such.

It's not enough nowadays because the standard for interviews went up.
I respect your sentiment. But it seems like people said that in early 2022 or early 2023 too. What do you think?
