Anyone works at/worked for Fidelity? How’s your experiences? Posting for a friend, he works at a big bank in NYC. He is particularly interested in the following topics: 1. Stability, how likely are layoffs and PIP? 2. How well recognized is Fidelity in the industry? Is it easy to jump back to companies that are more tech focused in the future? 3. Opportunity to learn relevant tech. The job he has right now uses really outdated tech 4. How’s the culture at Fidelity? Any information would help, thanks a lot! #fidelity #fidelityinvestments #tech #softwareengineer
1. Super chill and laid back. Private company, layoffs very rare especially for engineers. 2. Recruiters recognize fidelity, will get interviews. 3. Depends on team but possible. Overall pip and layoff chance is low. Wlb is generally great, job is super safe in engineering partly because they have contractors and regular ongoing attrition
