Recently had a few interviews where the interviewers asked to collab using Google Jamboard for whiteboarding. Is it just me or that Jam is just a terrible piece of crap? There’s no way to even create boxes with text inside, and multi-select objects. It’s like something coded by an underpaid intern and pales in comparison to other alternatives like draw.io and Excalidraw. I wonder if the companies picked Jam intentionally to make the interviewers’ lives difficult 🤔 Blind tax: 200k, 4yoe
It's Google. That's their thing. They create products with the ABSOLUTE BARE MINIMUM functionality then shut them down. I mean if I was product manager, that sounds like a stupid easy gig. "Do we need more features?" "Uhhh no, my uh data is telling me to keep it the same." "Well alright then!".
It’s always funny when these companies make you use their random tools for interviews. Jamboard isn’t even the worst, when I interviewed at Amazon a while back they called me on some DIY video chat system called “Chime” lol
😆🤣
Odd--Jamboard will be shut down January 1, 2025.
Isn't it going away?
Yeah.
