Xiaomi sells almost 200m phones in a year. What are we doing to keep Android significantly better than HyperOS? Once HyperOS is even close enough to Android (in terms of major functionalities users care about), what will keep them from ditching Android completely? I realize that it is still years(probably 5 or more) before it happens but unless we take steps now we won't be in a position to defend Android for long. A few years ago nobody thought of even getting remotely competing with Meta in Social Media but TikTok has changed that perception. Meta moves really fast and here they are. Can't imagine how Google will deal with competition. https://finance.yahoo.com/video/xiaomi-unveils-smartphone-operating-system-135802823.html Moreover, in a recent news today: "Huawei celebrates 100 million devices with HarmonyOS 4" https://m.gsmarena.com/huawei_celebrates_100_million_devices_with_harmonyos_4-news-60411.php Disclosure: I also posted this in internal blind today. Is it game over for Google?
No one will trust an OS from China lmfao
Youth is using tiktok so..
I would buy a huawai if I could
I wouldn’t touch CCP OS
Fuchsia OS looked great a few years ago. It booted and looked significantly easier to build a bsp for than Android. It also looked to make Flutter/dart a first class citizen language which would be a huge selling point for app adoption. Did you guys abandon the idea?
Use huawei OS at your own risk.
