Lately, the frequency of YouTube adds have increased and it has become quite frustrating. I definitely see me subscribing to Premium soon, to avoid the Ads. Will it be the case with the masses too ? #personalfinance #investments
I actually have a doubt but Google folks can clarify. Don't you guys make more money if people don't buy premium? I am sure you guys make more than $10 a month by showing ads, revenue would just decrease if everyone buys premium!
$120/yr and diversifying their revenue? Nah. That's just a win/win.
One thing is that users purchasing premium are biased towards higher income and are more valuable ad targets, so in many cases, yes this is true. I'd wager the YT premium team may not fully measure that though.
Wake up!
what ?
Nope I’ll just leave YouTube. Facebook is doing the same crap with their videos where they are playing two back to back
I use adblockers on YouTube mobile. AMA
Which one
Vanced kit
It will also lead to a drop in ads revenue. Won't be a big bump in overall revenue.
pi hole
I was thinking of signing up yesterday actually but 12 a month is redic tc 500k
Just comments to flex lol
Paying for YouTube is ridiculous
Now that you mention it, I have kinda stopped using YouTube. Might be cos of all the ads. Happens naturally. But that’s me.
they need to split the premium plan. not everyone needs youtube music and other stuff that comes with it. also this short-term oriented spam of CTA banners and ads need to stop. i wish i knew which idiot at youtube made the decision. it's so cutthroat to the users and i personally will hop off of youtube ASAP when i can if they keep this up

What happens when most of your team is Indian?
Idk for how long they can milk it. Alternative options like newpipe, nextcloud are quickly catching up. ClearURLs, Ublock and nextdns is gaining crazy acceptance.
I don't think it's that easy to shift when YouTube is quite ingrained in everyone's lives these days.
New Clear who? U what? Next huh? 🤔 Lol nah fam the masses aren’t going to switch anytime soon
