Currently working as a L6 SDM at Amazon. Have a Grade 13 (Director) offer from Cisco systems. Paying slightly more than AMZN. 1. Is Grade 13 a big deal at Cisco? 2. Typically directors are managers who managed not to get laid off. Honestly It really depends on what BU / group your in. You have to be careful, because you can becoming to be someone’s scapegoat for an already failing BU. But bottom line is directors don’t carry a lot of clout. They think they do, but it’s not until the VP role before you really get to make strategic decisions.
Any idea how much they make? TC range for Grade 13 Technical Director BU: CX Location: RTP
That really depends on BU, group and location. SJC pay is significantly higher than BGL, RTP and Texas. But cost of living is also significantly higher
