What are the strongest arguments against Facebook? I feel that the masses have been hypnotized into hating the company, and that many have personal vendettas against Zuckerberg. So let’s hear it! Hit me with your biggest gripes with the $600B ex-monopoly!

Meta is aware of the harm it causes but still actively chooses to promote the most divisive content because it’s excellent for engagement but terrible for mental health and social cohesion.

I have incredibly mixed feelings lol - sounds like an awesome company to work at given learning + TC but the ethical implications are a lot to consider
They pretend to be a platform with the same rules for everybody, but in reality they have ideology and push it suppressing other opinions.

I do believe this user means that “[Facebook is a] mass psychosis tool.” In which case I’d be tempted to agree, but would have to know how posts succeed and fail to be sure. It’s also possible that he/she/they are calling me a tool.
