Very sorry for everyone to be affected by the layoffs :( But after the layoffs it should be safe, right? And taking into account that the HC supposed to be flat next year, at least some hiring should take place. #meta
"It should be safe, right?" Ha ha When was the last time a company did just one round of layoffs and that magically solved everything?
It will be very safe â wink wink
Difference between catching a falling knife or buying the dip. No one knows either way lol it could go much lower causing more layoffs or meta has growth potential of a startup that's already liquid.
Buy the knife

with the AR gamble meta is going to crumble. its a huge risk but meta on your resume looks great. if you are not on work visa take your chance
In terms of money, youâre poised to make more than the veterans on your team.
Are they hiring?
It most likely the first wave of layoffs in next few years. The issue with meta is not bloated organization or cost, which could be solved by layoffs. Itâs their long term strategy. Think of Yahoo
It doesn't matter with hiring freeze unless you are coming in at e7+
đ€ what layoffs? At Meta? Did I miss something?
Yes. Itâs all over Twitter, thatâs the new social network.
Yeah, thanks, i realized. Damn, i go offline for 5 hours, meanwhile all hell breaks loose.
There is rarely ever just one round of layoffs. I wouldn't unless you don't have a job.
In my experience it is just one. Other layoffs might happen but usually not for at least another year, which would be considered another âround.â Companies donât want to keep employees unproductive while waiting for another rounds soon after. Better to be one and done.

If you can get a cheap initial grant it might be. More limited downside than joining 2 years ago
Remember, from new joiner perspective it does not matter if stock regains highs, only that it is higher than when you joined.
Thought the same few months back. Stock is down 50% from that level. It can always go down 50% more
