Is Netflix better than Amazon?
Has been stuck at Amazon L4 SDE after 4 yrs in industry (2yr small company and 2yr Amazon). Some re-org made me temporarily under a racist manager last year and he back stabbed my forte so no growth last year and this year pretty much no TC growth due to stock price even with a good forte. Current manager promised promo this year but I’ve lost my faith. Due to family reasons, can’t do relocation. See many Netflix remote positions open. Wonder if those are good or nah. TC: 160k
Kidding me? Netflix is better than Google. (if you can survive more than 1 year)

If you do not see yourself getting promoted after 3 years as an L4, there is a high chance of being put in focus. No disadvantage in looking outside.
2 yr in Amazon so far. Other 2 yrs spent at another company.

4 yoe will be offered 100k more at least at Netflix. Of course you wouldn't

If you’re L4 with 4YOE, leave. You’ll be interviewed at mid-level by default.
There are hundreds of companies where you will make more and be treated better on average, Netflix is definitely one of them.
