I keep hearing they might start enforcing a hybrid model. Any insiders know?
In office required. Mostly team dependent though. But on average 2 days a week
In the US there is no in office requirement. We will sometimes have “collaboration days” where employees are strongly encouraged to come in, but even then it is not mandatory.
My friend, how is the stock doing
Where did you hear hybrid? No news about rto so far
Remote. Don't see RTO/hybrid happening in the near future. Also if you are offered a role, just directly ask the recruiter, however I don't know any team who is hybrid in Bangalore.
RTO is not mandatory yet at company level. However different orgs have started strongly encouraging to be in office for 2 days. Again it's not mandatory but they are trying to create a network effect where if enough people would start coming in voluntarily then they can manage out minority folks who don't come. It's an open secret here that the upper management wants people to come to office without making it mandatory, but the majority of us still prefer working from home. The major factor playing into this whole thing is that we have a lot of senior leadership folks working remotely (including our cto). And I don't see them coming to office 2 or 3 times a week. So making it mandatory for all employees is gonna be an uphill task. Although PayPal is a company with 0 moral obligations. They can very well ask top level leaders and folks who have enough skin in the game to stay remote and at the same time ask the minion engineers to be in office compulsory. I don't put this out of the realm of possibilities. This off course fits in perfectly with our political style of working. I expect this to be cleared out either way in the next 6 months or so.
I think it’s very team specific. My manager is in San Jose am in Chicago there’s nobody else in the US ( one contractor ) so I am not expected to really go into the office
Paypal Mexico here. We are often invited to come to office for events and social events but not required for day to day work, only if you want to go.
Generally fully remote is the rule. They’ve closed many offices so anything other than hybrid would be impossible even if they did switch it up. I feel zero pressure to ever go in to the office.
Please do not believe anything you read on blind. Most of it is bullshit from the attention hungry trolls.
