I see 29 rental homes in redfin versus 84 rental homes in Zillow. Not sure which is right?? I am trying to assess rental market to purchase rental property in NC. This information is so f**cked up in those websites.
What’s the data source for rentals for these sites?
Which part of nc
Morrisville
Zillow has apartment rentals too . That might skew the number
Zillow and Redfin do not share all listings.
This is the answer
They can both be right, there's not really a single source of rentals like there is for buying/selling a home.
Based on a semi recent home purchase Redfin has the most accurate/up to date listings. Zillow consistently had homes listed for sale after they were off market and often had a 3+ day lag behind Redfin for new listings (this was often as long as some properties were on the market). I liked Zillow’s app but when I was actually buying they were useless as a tool.
Lol omg…is…Is this guy serious
I think rentals now go through Zillow Rental Manager. At least listing one of my homes I had to specifically pay for Zillow to list rather than them just pulling off MLS in years past.
If you can’t answer this question, don’t buy a rental property
