Whatโs the WFH policy at Snap? and after the coronavirus pandemic is over will Snap let employees WFH forever?
ceo seems very against wfh forever. he is eager to have us back in office
Nope
Maybe a couple days a week after all this. But no, definitely not WFH forever.
Some of the offices are starting to open up in July, so highly unlikely
I like Evan, but he seems against WFH. I suspect he feels this way because Snap has some big hardware orgs. It's difficult to do work on hardware if you aren't physically there with the equipment. As for SWEs...yeah, I hope he lightens on the stance there. I don't know :(
It used to be more dependent on the team and office (Seattle and NYC being more WFH friendly than LA or SF) but now it seems everyone is pretty friendly with it. That's my experience, at least. Even if the offices open, no one is going to be forced to go back in and it's not like people have been less productive ๐คทโโ๏ธ
I think once they get Q2 data of work produced by people probably making people work from home would be much better for snap with monthly once catch up with the team mates to reduce any gaps.
No
Everyone is probably gonna have to be WFH friendly the way things are going
