Is Tesla really pausing all hiring?

I had a virtual interview scheduled for a Tesla Advisor position open near me and when I joined the zoom call at the agreed meeting time with the managers I was left alone in there for roughly 20 minutes, no one else ever joined. I thought this was super unprofessional and I was let down as I studied hard and specifically took time off work for this interview as I really want to get another job. I eventually called the Tesla recruiter who helped me set up the interview and all he told me was "Oh sorry about that, I'll get an update and get back to you as to why the managers never joined". He never called me back for 2 days after that despite sending him a follow up email. I gave him a call today and all he told me was "We're pausing all hiring, sorry." And that was it. Have any of you heard any of this? #interview #auto #salesman #tesla #teslaadvisor #teslainterview

Interesting how Tesla's progress presentations (Neuralink, Optimus) are always for hiring qualified and skilled workers. I guess they'll have a hard time finding qualified workers if they don't stop ghosting applicants.

Recruiters here are always full of bs. You definitely dodged a bullet though if your potential destination team just ghosted.

No one wants to work here so why pause lol

Wasn't Tesla the sexiest company to work for. Regardless, I'm sure Tesla can fill vacancies more easily than many other companies.

That means you aren’t worth for the manager’s time.
